Which of the three cards to choose

They are the same card underneath. The difference is where you can use it.

We sell three cards, and the difference between them is not the card: it is where it can be used. Underneath they are the same product, issued by the same issuer, on the same network, with the same three percent on a top up and the same zero per month.

So the question is not which card is better. It is where you intend to pay.

If the money is going to the internet

Ad accounts, AI subscriptions, hosting, software, marketplaces, flights. All of this takes a card number typed into a form, and for all of this the Virtual Card at $49.99 is enough.

It does not go into the wallet app and it cannot be tapped on a reader. If everything you pay for is on a screen, that limitation never comes up, and you have saved ten dollars.

If you also want to pay with your phone

The Apple Pay Card at $59.99 does everything the virtual one does, and additionally goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Once it is there you pay by holding the phone to the terminal, in shops, cafes and transport.

Ten dollars is the entire difference. If there is any chance you will want to pay in a physical shop, pay the ten dollars now: the cards are separate products and there is no upgrade path later.

A detail people miss: the phone passes a separate number to the terminal, not the one on your card. The till never sees your card number.

If you need cash, or a card in your hand

The Physical Card at $459.99 is a metal card posted to your address. It does everything above, and adds the two things no virtual card can do: you can hand it to a cashier, and you can take cash out of a machine at one percent of the amount.

The price covers the card, personalising it and the post, with nothing added at the end. It takes 7 to 14 working days to arrive.

This is the card to choose when you travel somewhere that still runs on cash, or when you need a card that exists when a phone battery does not.

Why people often take two

Keeping ad platforms on one card and everything else on another is a common and sensible habit. If an ad platform blocks a card, which happens, the block touches that card only and your subscriptions keep running.

There is no monthly fee on any card, so a second card costs only its one-time price and then nothing.

What is identical on all three

  • Opened with an email address, no documents
  • Three percent on a top up, plus what the blockchain charges to send
  • Nothing per month, nothing per year, nothing for sitting unused
  • Paying online is free on all three
  • Topped up with USDT, Bitcoin, USDC and others, on four chains

Every number above is on the pricing page in one table. If a charge is not there, we do not take it.
